Staying in Miyakojima as 6 Guests | A Spacious Room Plan with 3 Bedrooms

Six guests may seem manageable for a trip, yet it is often the number that makes accommodation the most difficult to arrange.
At a hotel, you would need three rooms. That is possible, but they may be on different floors, or not even next to one another. At the same time, there are not many rooms designed for six people in a single space.
Nagine recommends six guests as the ideal occupancy. In this article, we introduce specific room arrangements for staying with six people.
Six Guests Is the Ideal Number for Nagine
Nagine is a 3LDK private villa that can accommodate up to nine guests. Among that capacity, six is the number we recommend.
The reason is simple: up to six guests fit neatly into three bedrooms, two in each room, so everyone can sleep in a bed without needing extra bedding. The living room remains a place to spend time, not a place to sleep.
Use the Three Bedrooms for Two Guests Each
Bedroom 1 | Two Single Beds
Because the beds are separate, each guest can rest at their own pace. This room is suitable for two people with different bedtimes, or for those who prefer to sleep separately.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 | Two Semi-Double Beds Each
Both rooms have the same layout. With two semi-double beds, two guests can each use one bed comfortably, or sleep together with a small child.
Each bedroom is equipped with a closet, air conditioning, and blackout curtains. They are suitable both for guests who do not want to be woken by morning light and for those who wish to rest during the day. For details, please see the rooms and layout page.
Three Room-Assignment Patterns
Pattern 1 | Two Families (4 Adults, 2 Children)
Each family can take one room: Bedrooms 2 and 3, both with two semi-double beds. Small children can sleep in the same bed as their parent or guardian.
Bedroom 1, with two single beds, can be used as a room for children who go to bed early, or as a room for luggage and changing clothes. With enough rooms for the number of guests, the flexibility to change how you use them later is one of the advantages of staying with six people.
Pattern 2 | Six Friends
Two guests in each of the three rooms. Everyone rests under the same conditions.
A simple approach is to place the pair who prefer separate beds in Bedroom 1, and assign Bedrooms 2 and 3 to the others. Even if bedtimes differ, the living room and terrace remain shared spaces, so those who want to stay up can do so.
Pattern 3 | Three Generations (Grandparents, Parents, and 2 Children)
Place the room for guests who would prefer fewer stairs in an easier-to-access location. Children can stay with their parents in the same room.
In a three-generation trip, it is normal for meal times and bedtimes to differ from one generation to another. In a private villa, those who want to rest early and those who want to talk late can both enjoy the same stay in the same building. Please note that there are stairs inside the house.
With Six Guests, the Living Room Does Not Need to Become a Bedroom
This is the greatest advantage of staying with six people.
The living room has two folding beds and one sofa bed, but they are not needed when staying with up to six guests. In other words, the living room stays a living room, even at night.
Even if some guests go to bed early, the others can keep talking on the sofa. You can go to the kitchen without passing through a room where someone is sleeping. This kind of breathing room changes the feel of the stay considerably.
A Day with Six Guests
In the morning, everyone heads to the kitchen as they wake. With two washbasins and two toilets, six guests can prepare without congestion. While coffee is being made with the Nespresso machine, the next person wakes up.
Yonaha Maehama Beach is about a 5-minute walk away. Spend the quiet morning walking along the sand, then return to the villa. In the afternoon, when the sun is stronger, enjoy the terrace and pool. After returning from the sea, you can rinse off the sand in the separate shower room.
In the evening, prepare dinner in the island kitchen and carry it to the outdoor table. With a three-burner IH stove, there is no waiting in line to cook even for six people. Tableware and cutlery are provided for up to nine guests, so there is ample room for six.
After the meal, simply load everything into the Miele dishwasher. No one needs to stay behind in the kitchen to clean up.
Getting Around and Luggage
It is about 12 minutes by car from Miyako Airport (about 7 km) and about 33 minutes by car from Shimojishima Airport (about 22 km). We recommend a rental car for getting around the island.
The on-site parking area accommodates two cars free of charge, without a roof. For six guests, you will likely either arrive in two cars or in one larger vehicle. If you plan to come in three or more cars, please contact us in advance.

When the Group Fits Just Right
Six guests is the number that fits the bedrooms, keeps the bathrooms from becoming crowded, and allows everyone to sit at the table. At Nagine, it is the balance we feel works best.
If you are considering a stay for seven or more guests, please see the article below for how to use the extra bedding. For choosing the right kind of accommodation, we also recommend A Refined Holiday in a Miyakojima Villa.
